This section contains a range of guide pillars, ball cages, bushes and accessories of exceptional quality, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of press tools over a long lifetime and are therefore a cost effective choice.
Guide pillars, or as they are sometimes called, guide pins, are an important component in the assembly of a press tool or mould tool. As the name implies, they are used to guide the press or mould tool to ensure correct alignment of the top and bottom parts of the die-set and therefore are vital to produce accurate, precise results each time. The majority of the guide pillars supplied by Berger Tools conform to ISO9182 standards as shown. We supply a selection of types, including both bottom and centre retained and demountable options. A tapered version is also available, together with a matching tapered bush.
Our guide ball bushes include short and long spigot demountable bushes for use with our ball cages 5741 for precision results and also plain press or slide fit bushes. We also sell demountable ejector ball guide bushes which are used with mould bases, and headed and headless bushes in bronze, with graphite liners for oilless running and recirculating ball bushes..
Our premium range of bushes also includes those with a sintered coating, which have the additional benefits of running with or without lubrication, which are used in applications with an optimal speed from 6 - 10m/min. They have an increased life of up to 50% over conventional guide bushes, and there is no deformation of the material. They are ideal for clean air environments.
We also stock a full range of accessories, including retaining rings and clamps, ball cage retaining bushes and storage supports. With all these choices, we are your one stop shop for press tool standard parts!
