Berger Tools mechanical cam units, used for many piercing, forming, shearing and trimming applications in metalwork. They are used frequently within the automotive industry. Berger Tools cam units can be fitted horizontally or at an angle.
We stock a wide range, for all budgets, and with either short or normal stroke, between 5000 - 40,000 daN. The basic models utilise a coil spring return using a standard punch with a urethane spring as a stripper, whilst more complex models use a nitrogen gas cylinder and have mounting units for any tooling. Models are available which can take multiple punches, some systems have an antirotation device built in, and some are also fitted with a miniature electronic device to control the correct positioning of the equipment. Models with an innovative solution for shaped punches to ISO8020 standard are also available, as are compact versions.
