GN719.2 Plastic Push On or Threaded Domed Gear Knob
Domed knobs/handles are a commonplace component used for many applications and have a classic design which has stood the test of time. They are designed to fit snugly into the palm of the hand for comfortable usage.
The DIN 719.2 domed knob is often used instead of the DIN 319 ball knob on gear levers and shafts due to ergonomic reasons.
Domed gear knobs with bore (B) are mounted by driving them over the shaft with a plastic hammer. A threaded shaft is not required. The shaft end should preferably be slightly rounded or phased (30°).
