Product Description
GN820.4 Horizontal Clamps with Safety Hook and Vertical Base
A special feature of these horizontal clamps GN 820.4 is its low profile in clamping position. They are designed in such a way to avoid the operator's fingers being caught between the retracting clamping arm and the operating handle.
These clamps are fitted with a safety function. During closing, a safety hook ensures a form-locking bolting connection. It prevents the inadvertent unlocking of the clamping position caused by vibrations. To open, turn the safety hook out of the bolting connection. This can be done with a one-hand operation.
They work according to the toggle principle: the lever and clamping bar move in the opposite direction. They require less space for the clamping action.
Horizontal acting toggle clamps in the U-bar version with two flanged washers (Type NL) can accommodate an application specific clamping screw. A spindle assembly with neoprene rubber tip is also included for Type NLC (GN708.1).
Type PL can either be utilized by welding the clasp which can then accommodate an application specific hold-down fastener component, or by utilizing the bar in conjunction with the GN809 clamp mounts to hold the work piece in place.
Stepped side washers and clamping bolt retainers where required are included.
