We stock an extensive range of precision dowel pins, which are commonly used for accurate positioning and locating of parts in press tool, mould making, jigs, fixtures and machinery and also to provide a reference point. Some are designed to be used with headed or headless drill bushes. Our dowel pins are machined to tight tolerances and the size of the corresponding hole is calculated from this tolerance, the hardness of the dowel pin and the component it is to be fitted to, and the tightness of fit required (which could be interference, transition or clearance).
Our top quality range also includes extractable dowel pins which have an internal thread which is used to help extract the pin after installation. Our dowel pins are available in a variety of materials and finishes including stainless steel, case hardened, and nitrided, this wide range of options allows you to make the best possible choice for your application.
