Ejector_Pins_&_Interlocks
DLC is a Pa-CVD coating (Plasma Assisted Chemical Vapour Deposition). It is carbon based and is known and used in the field of plastic injection. This coating is available on request on the following ejector pins - EP-A-H, EP-FA-H2 & EP-FA-H4. It is a coating with a high surface hardness that allows the reduction of friction and improves the sliding of steel parts without increasing their wear. It is ideal for clean rooms, which do not allow the use of oil, grease or graphite. It is also excellent for those who require superior reliability of components, for example those used in a high productivity mould. This amorphous carbon coating has an excellent hardness and an extremely low friction factor. Due to the optimal dry run and sliding properties of the DLC, it is not necessary to lubricate such items as ejector pins. The end result is an item which does not stain and has a longer life. Specification: - Hardness of coating - approx 3000 HV - Thickness of coating: 2 - 3 - Coating temperature: ca. 180°C - Friction factor with steel: 0.1 - 0.15 - Maximum operating temerature: 300°C Advantages *Best tribological properties *Extreme resistance to adhesive friction *Excellent corrosion resistance *Lower tooling and machine downtime *Will not mark or discolour the end product *Excellent dry-run properties *Increased life span DLC Coating Diamond Like Carbon Coating
